SylviaISHERWOODPassed away on October 1st, at the age of 75. Her battle with MS showed her courage as she continued to make others laugh, despite the pain. She stayed strong until the end. Sylvia grew up in Wythenshawe before embarking on various careers including modelling, becoming the first car saleswoman in the northwest and selling dance wear in her own shop in Warrington. She met the love of her life, John, at a New Year's Eve party in 1979. Together they had a daughter, Lucy. Sylvia was a prominent member of local amateur operatic societies and regularly sang in and directed musicals. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating wonderful dinner parties for her friends.
She is survived by her daughter and granddaughters who will forever miss her originality, wit and generosity.
The funeral service will take place on the 17th of October at 3.20pm at Walton Lea Crematorium.
