John EricJACOBS(Jack) of Linton Died suddenly but peacefully at his home on Tuesday 19th November 2019, aged 97 years. Husband of the late Kathleen Jacobs (née Blake); dearly loved father of Geoff, Anne & John and a much loved grandad and great grandad. He was a well known village character and a retired long serving patrol man with the AA. Funeral Service at Cam Valley Crematorium, Great Chesterford (CB10 1RP) on Thursday 12th December at 1.00pm. Family flowers only please but if wished donations for Cancer Research UK may be sent c/o H. J. Paintin Ltd, 43 High Street, Linton, Cambridge, CB21 4HS.

We were sad to learn of this yesterday. Mr Jacobs looked after our garden at Vine Cottage from 1987 to 96 and was always very diligent and kind - we had the best-maintained mower in the county! We exchanged Christmas cards until we moved to France in 2011 and had to shorten our list. We remember him with gratitude.
