Geoffrey JamesJELLIt is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rev. Geoffrey James Jell (aged 96), former minister of Old Colwyn English Baptist Church for 30 years, beloved husband of Ivy Jell and our fantastic Papa.

He was a well-loved, kind and caring person who will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm on the 7th of August at the English Baptist Church, Abergele Road, Old Colwyn.

Donations (rather than flowers) in memory of Rev. G.J. Jell will be gratefully received for the Colwyn Bay branch of Amnesty International (bit.ly/GJJell), which he founded and supported for over 40 years. You can also make in-person donations at the service.

With deepest sympathy to all his family. Mr Jell was a wonderful person who was a big infulence in my life. Going through the Sunday School, attending Bible classes and being baptised by Mr Jell which was such a moving experience and something I will never forget. I was married by him in 1981 then a few years later my daughters were Dedicated into the Church. He always had a smile and a wise word and he will certainly be missed very much by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. God bless

Mr. Jell was very special to our family in a friendship which spanned decades. Both Mr. and Mrs. Jell will always hold an important place in my heart, and the kindness they showed has been woven into our family folklore. He had the innate ability to help everyone to smile no matter the circumstances. He will be missed.
