Remembering Roger on his birthday who helped me pass my test first time (so much patience) and guided me through my advanced course. A lovely uncle who always had a smile and a joke for everyone 😀. Taken far too soon, love to Cynthia, Paul, Katherine & their families x

Listening to Neil Diamond last night prompted us to “google” Roger, where we very sadly found his obituary.
1981, my wife and I both had driving lessons with Roger and passed our tests first time. He assured me that I only needed 10 lessons and he was right! Even now, in our 60’s we will often say, remember what Roger used to say! I still remember his stories and certainly every time we hear Neil Diamond we think of him! He was a lovely man.

Lovely man, a true gent.

Roger was a dear cousin-in-law. He was always the best fun. And the best driving instructor - I mean, he managed to get my mum through her driving test! Once she moved back to Plymouth. No-one up north had managed that in two years. You will be missed by a lot of people. RIP, Roger.
