I first met Colin when the family moved from Penwyllt to Gurnos when we were both pupils at Gurnos Primary school and onward to Maesydderwen and then to University in Cardiff were we a shared a house for a year. I knew the family well, Cliff, Eva, Colin, Clive & Caroline. He was a pillar of the community and the service he gave to Gurnos, Cwmtwrch and surrounding villages was exceptional. As I live overseas I am saddened that I will not be there to wish him goodbye.
