One of the very best teachers (86-88). He had such a passion for his subject and was an inspiration!

Mr Jones taught me for both ‘O’ level Physics and ‘A’ level Engineering Science 75 to 77. He was an exceptional teacher with a wonderful sense of humour. He firmly cemented my lifelong career and interest in engineering and science. RIP Sir

Great teacher. I remember he said "I'm now going to teach you how to pass exams" - and he did. RIP Mr Jones.

Such a great teacher - his enthusiasm for his subject was infectious and his lesson formed the basis of my 30+ year career with the NHS. Sleep peacefully sir. Vikky Trumper x

What a wonderful teacher n friend. Baby sat for his 3 boys many times & it always was hilarious one way or another. He had a wicked sense of humour and was a genuinely all round great person. Ian was the only person I knew that had the Morse Code on the back of his toilet door. Our condolences, love and thoughts go out to Jackie, Michael, Graham and Stephen. Rest in peace. Love Jane & Keith Kirkwood xx

A fine teacher and an all round nice guy. I recall well, when he broke a leg or ankle doing a sponsored parachute jump though I don't believe many believed his excuse that he though it was a field of mustard when in fact it was rapeseed. Rest in peace Mr Jones. Alan Potts, Admin of the Wolfreton Memories site

Sir,
Thank you for being a brilliant teacher, especially with your A Level Engineering Science course from 84-86, which set me off on an Engineering Career.
