Our hearts were deeply saddened when we received a call from Andy telling us of Eirwen’s passing. We were grateful to him that he was with her at the time.
Eirwen had a presence in a room second to none with her intelligence, wit, consideration and class. She was always impeccably dressed even on our FaceTime chats!
Eirwen worked and visited Canada many times spending time with her cousin Eunice (Dave’s mom). As teens Eunice and Eirwen spent summers in Llangeitho at Gwelfro with family.
Eirwen’s life was profoundly enriched when she met and married Keith. They had many wonderful years together and we will always treasure the many wonderful trips to Cardiff sometimes with our girls Lindsay and Eryn Dave and I enjoyed our 2-3 day escapes with Eirwen and Keith to Tregaron, Aberaeron, St. David’s and Tennyson. They certainly knew how to introduce the beautiful countryside of wales.
Our last visit with Eirwen was last spring. She was still inspiring despite all her struggles and even managed to break into song as only the Welsh knew how to do.
Eirwen was just one person in this world but she meant the world to us. We miss her every day.
