Peter BarryKELLYKELLY (PETER BARRY)- Aged 56 of Salford, died on Saturday August 15, in hospital after a short illness. Son of the late Albert (Dan) and Winnie Kelly. Brother of Dennis, Brother-in-law of Anne, Uncle of Heather, Iain and Steven. Former Chair Greater Manchester Police Authority, and Deputy Leader of Greater Manchester County Council. Stalwart of Salford Labour Party. He will be sadly missed by his Family, and numerous Friends, Colleagues and Comrades. The funeral will be at Agecroft Crematorium, Salford, on Thursday September 3 at 12:20pm. No flowers at request of the family. Enquiries Salford Co-op Funeralcare tel: 0161 736 1487

I was at primary school with Peter (PB as he was) St Cyprians Ordsall late 50’s early 60’s.
Always remember the cricket in the park. PB was a good bowler; brother was a good batsman.
Staunch Labour as was his Mum.
Great to have seen his success in later life.
