PhilKENTIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phil Kent, who left us in the early hours of Sunday 19th January 2025, at the age of 44 years, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 17, 1981, CSM WO2 Phil Kent dedicated his life to serving his country with honour and distinction. Over the course of a remarkable 26 year career in the army, he displayed unwavering courage, resilience and an unyielding commitment to his comrades and nation serving in many conflicts. His service took him across the world, where he exemplified the values of duty, honour and integrity that defined his life.
Phil was more than a soldier; he was a cherished husband, father, papa, son, grandson, brother, a loyal friend and an influencer and inspiration to all who knew him. His kindness, sense of humour and steadfast determination left a lasting impact on those around him. Whether in uniform or among loved ones Phil's presence brought strength and comfort to those in need.
Outside of his military career, Phil had a deep passion for adventure, always seeking new challenges and opportunities to push his limits. He had a love for the outdoors, enjoying and excelling at many sports and exploring new places with an infectious enthusiasm that inspired many.
Phil's legacy of service, bravery and compassion will forever be remembered by his family, friends and fellow service members. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those many lives he touched. Phil is survived by his loving wife Demi and children Chloe, Aether and Ostara, grandchildren, Elliot and Eloise and his beloved collie Theia.
A funeral service to honour Phil's life and service will be held at 11.30 am, Monday 10th February 2025, Truro Cathedral, followed by private family cremation.
Family, friends and colleagues are invited to come together to celebrate his extraordinary life and bid a final farewell to him after the committal service at the Army Reserve Centre, Truro. (ARC)
