This is the poem I wrote for Liam xx

We were a four-piece jigsaw,
Four corners steady and true,
Each edge fitting softly into the next,
A picture made whole by you.

Your dad was the strength of the border,
I held the pieces in place,
Your sister Lauren, the light in the centre,
And you, our darling Liam, were the joy in our space.

Perfect four sides, perfect four points,
A family complete and bright,
Locked together through laughter and tears,
Held close day and night.

I’d say , “Love you to the moon and back,”
And you’d say those same words to me,
A love that travelled beyond the stars,
Endless as the deepest sea.

But now one piece is missing,
And nothing sits quite the same,
There’s an emptiness etched in the picture,
And silence where once you came.

Still, no piece could ever replace you,
No other could fit your part,
Because you were made for this family,
Cut perfectly into our hearts.

Though the puzzle feels broken without you,
And the edges are jagged with pain,
Your shape is forever within us,
And our love will still carry your name.

So we will hold tight to your memory,
To our son and brother who completed our four,
And though one piece rests out of sight now,
You are ours, darling Liam, always and evermore.

And somewhere beyond what our eyes can see,
Past sorrow, beyond the black,
I know you still whisper, softly to me,
“Love you Mum… to the moon and back.”

So sad to hear you devastating news. I remember my son Elliot was in st Brigid with Liam, we took them to the high ropes in Betws. They all got through the low level course and went on to the higher level. Liam got across a couple of the rope and then decided he was not going any further, the boys all shout words of encouragement and tried to help him, but he was not going to move. The instructor said I would have to go up and get him. There was no way I was going up there! But I had to! Together with encouragement we completed the course with each level becoming more and more fun, all the boys were in fits of giggles. Finally we got to the highest platform known to man, which we had to jump off. Liam with his new found confidence leapt off with a “Yeahhhhhh! I was petrified, there must be another way down, Liam shouted words of encouragement to me, (hadn’t I been the one who was meant to be helping him?). The instructor pushed me off and the boy’s cheered. The world was a better place having had Liam in it. X Debra (Elliot Morris mum)

So sorry to hear of the loss of Liam, such a lovely boy in St Brigid school with my son Elliot. I remember we took the boys to high ropes in Betws for Elliot’s Birthday. All the boys were great on the practices ropes, then, when Liam got in to the high canopy, he hugged the tree trunk and decided he was going no further. The boys all shouted words of encouragement to Liam, but he was not moving, the instructors tried to coax him along to no avail. Finally the instructor said I would have to go up and support him. There was no way you would get me up there, but I had no choice. Liam and I made our way through the course with Liam shouting with delight as we achieved each challenge, we were all in fits of giggles. Finally we got to the end where we had to jump off the highest platform ever know to man, Liam by this point was ecstatic and leapt off with a yell of yeahhhh! I was petrified! There must be another way down, Liam shouted words of encouragement up to me (hadn’t I been the one sent to help him?) the the instructor pushed me off. Thank you to Liam for such a wonderful memory and helping me overcoming my fear. The world was always a better place with you in it. Debra (Elliot Morris mum)

Dear Liz, David, and Lauren
We are so very sorry for the loss of your dearest son, Liam.

Liz, I will always remember our conversations about Christmas - planning which board game to buy and choosing Christmas pajamas - even though your children were grown up, they would join in with these traditions.
To me it said what a close and happy family you were.

Sending sympathy and much love
Anne, Ian, Elle and Lauren xxxx
