Frederick WilliamKEYWith great sadness on Sunday 8th June 2025 and in the presence of his loving family at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Fred, aged 78 years, passed away (formerly of Smallthorne).

Beloved husband of Jenny, adored dad of Jeanette and Wendy, dear friend and father in law of Paul and Deca, cherished grandad of Owen, Adam and Cody, loved brother of Margaret, Dave, Jean and the late Joe, also a special brother in law and uncle. Fred will be immensely missed by all of his family and friends.

A reception into St. Mary's R.C. Church, Norton will take place on Monday 30th June 2025 at 6:00pm followed by a church service on Tuesday 1st July 2025 at 12 noon followed by cremation at Carmountside Crematorium. Would all family and friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church.

A celebration for Fred will then take place from 12:45pm at the Floral Hall, Tunstall. Please take this as an invitation for anyone who knew him to come and join us.

As requested by Fred, please do not wear black, wear smart casual clothes if possible.

Family flowers only please. Any kind donations in lieu of flowers will be forwarded to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

Fred was such a lovely man. I remember talking all about welding and many other things with him. He had such valuable experience and knowledge, I will miss talking to him. Rest easy Fred.
