The loving husband to his beloved wife, Janet of 65 precious years. A much loved and treasured father of Anthony and Sharon, devoted grandfather to his 7 grandchildren. A caring and adored great grandfather of his 19 great grandchildren. Also a much loved great great grandfather.
On Wednesday 19th February Joe will be received into the Catholic Church of St Patrick's Collyhurst for Requiem Mass at 10.30am. He will be laid to rest at St Joseph Cemetery Moston being reunited with his family members who have passed before him.

(Joseph Kirby was born on 15 July 1938 in Jersey Street dwellings, Ancoats- known as Little Italy. He attended St Michael's Catholic School and Church, George Leigh Street, Ancoats from 1941 to 1953.
He was a staff foreman for Mather and Platt Grimshaw Lane Newton Heath in the sprinkler fire protection department).
Joe's final words to his family and friends as written "Ta Ta for now, gone fishing"
