Andy was my mentor as an Apprentice at Sevenoaks Motors, my 1st job at leaving school at 16, June 1975. Although he was only around 19 he was an accomplished mechanic, and in the 4 years I worked with Andy a brilliant mentor. I last spoke to Andy in 1979, as happens life took over and I kept saying I'd try to make contact and arrange to meet him for a beer and a catchup. When I finally did a couple of yrs ago to be informed by a neighbour what had happened, I was so sad, I'd have loved to have thanked Andy for giving me a fantastic start in a career I had for 50 yrs. We had some great times, I respected him immensely and so wish I could have told him face to face. I have had and will have a lifetime of memories thanks to Andy. Thank you mate.. honestly you had a massive impact on my life, I'm sad I missed you, and couldn't say goodbye. I have and always will speak about our years as friends with a smile. God bless.
