Group Captain PhilipLANGRILLAt home in Rhosneigr, Ynys Môn, in the presence of family and friends, aged 84 years. Husband of 54 years to Joan. Beloved Father to Mark and Chris, loving Grandad to Toby, Ben, Dan, Joe and Matilda, loyal brother to David. Phil was a much-loved member of the community, renowned for his story telling and after-dinner speeches when he would share his passion for flying and the Air Force. During his working life, he flew 6,000 hours in fighters and ground attack aircraft. He taught and examined pilots of various nations and was stationed internationally: on active duty in Aden; then later flying the F-104 Starfighter for the German Air Force on exchange; and with the Foreign Office in Malaysia and India. A celebration of his life will take place on Friday 18 November at 1500 at St Maelog's Church, Llanfaelog. The family would like to express gratitude to the many friends who have already supported during this time and who continue to celebrate Phil's life. Family flowers only please, but donations to local community care organisations will be gratefully accepted through: Griffith Roberts & Son Funeral Directors, Preswylfa Chapel of Rest, Valley, Ynys Môn, LL65 3EA.
