John HowardLISTERPassed away peacefully at Tameside Hospital on 22nd April 2020 aged 84yrs. Much loved brother of Arthur, brother-in-law of the late Marjorie, uncle to Susan, Barbara, Andrew, Janet and their spouses, great uncle of 8 and great-great uncle of 5. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A private cremation is to be held. A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held at a future date.

Thank you to Rev Sue Williams for the following prayers on the day of Uncle John's cremation.

Loving God, be with each of us this morning as we remember John. Not one of us can imagine the pain a family feels when they are unable to say their last goodbyes to a loved one. It is in these times especially that we need to remember your promises that you are always with us wherever we are. We pray for John, we commend him to your safe keeping, receive him into the arms of your mercy, into the joy of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of your saints in your light. Amen. Keep each of us under the shadow of your mercy in this time of uncertainty and distress, may we rejoice in your comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love. In Christ Jesus our lord. Amen.

Uncle John was adored by all of us. We all have very happy memories of John when we used to visit
Auntie Nelly & Uncle Joe's home in Droylsden with mum & dad when we were children. Although we have not seen as much of John as we all got older John & the family have always been in our hearts.
