Dear Mother
The years pass but the ache in my heart from losing you is just as strong today as when you passed away eight years ago. I miss your smile and I miss being able to talk about my fears and my joys with you.
I thought that losing you was the worst thing that would have ever happened to me but I was wrong, so very wrong - losing my son was far worse. His passing cut so deep into my soul that even now, each breath I take feels like I have a knife slicing within me, bringing me closer to you both.
In truth, my daughters and my grandson are all that I have now and I survive purely because I know they need me the same as I needed you.
Look after my son Paul for me please Mum, until I join you in the future.
Love always.
