RobertLOWESThe family of Rob are sad to announce his sudden death on Christmas Day 2020. He was a much loved son of the late Alec and Sylvia, brother to Kate, Brother in law to Jeremy, Uncle to Helen, Lolly and Alice and a Great Uncle to Gareth, Thomas, Alexander, Benjamin, Felix, Theo and Lottie and a much loved member of his wider family, friendship groups and social communities. Rob worked for ICI Paints, Slough for 35 years as a Postman and was known and liked by all. He is remembered for his love of music, trains and socialising. He was an active member of his many social groups and a wonderfully loyal friend to many that he met whilst on his daily jaunts. His cremation has taken place and his ashes will be laid to rest alongside his parents at a later date. Those who knew Rob will have appreciated his unique outlook on life and his wish to help others. To this end we have identified Tiny Tim's Children's Centre which is supporting one of his small great nephews who is also autistic. If anyone chooses to make a donation in Rob’s memory they can be assured it will go directly to a local cause that will benefit a member of his own family which would have surely made his heart glad.

Robert was a lovely, gentle man who came to our social group every week at the Bear Pub in Maidenhead. He was always cheerful and fond of a laugh and a joke. My girlfriend and I used to often see him in Slough Town Centre as well- sitting by the cinema-as well as at the new Slough Bus Station when it opened in the little café, and in the church café with some if his friends. An altogether lovely person. We will all miss him greatly. Rest In Peace my friend.
