I knew Stan Marriott through my parents Bill and Maureen McBain, who lived in Newton Regis, what a lovely chap he was. He brought a vibrancy to the village, with his cheery demeanor and his humour. He was a great comfort to our family when we lost my father. I'm sure he will be missed by many people. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

So sorry to hear the sad news of Stan’s passing. I recall him always being there for his parishioners and very supportive of the village school in Newton Regis, where I was acting Headteacher for a term. We have fond memories of social times spent with Stan and Joan.

Remembering Rev. Marriott from his years as Rector of St Lawrence Church, Ansley. Always a kind, caring and compassionate man and a great comfort to many villagers. May he rest in peace. Jacqueline Smedley

So sad to hear the news of Stan's passing. He was one of a kind and I will always remember his love for the children and staff of Newton Regis Primary School where I was headteacher. A good old fashioned vicar who put people before paperwork. My thoughts are with his family and especially his devoted wife Joan.
