I had the pleasure of meeting Chris through my time volunteering with Caerphilly Athletic. Chris was the heart and soul of Caerphilly Athletic and his unwavering commitment to the Club was second to none. He welcomed everyone into the Club and made them feel like a long-standing friend from the day he met them. His absence leaves an immeasurable void.

Week in and week out, home or away, Chris was there, offering his time, energy, and kindness. Whether helping in the changing rooms, organising kit, or bringing snacks for half-time, no task was too small for Chris. His dedication extended beyond match days - he was a valued friend and a pillar of support to players, coaches, and fellow volunteers.

Despite battling ill health in recent years, Chris never let his struggles affect his commitment. Through rain or shine, he remained a constant, always showing up with a smile and an encouraging word. His passion for the game and the people around him embodied the true spirit of grassroots football.

Chris Marsden's legacy at Caerphilly Athletic is one of selflessness, friendship, and an unyielding love for the Club. Chris was a man who gave so much and asked for nothing in return. The fantastic memories and heartfelt tributes show how respected and loved he is by so many, and his impact will be felt for years to come.

Thank you so much for choosing to support Tŷ Hafan, in loving memory of Christopher Marsden.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Chris, please accept my sincere condolences from all of us here at Tŷ Hafan. Chris was a very special person and we can see from your Tribute page they were dearly loved by all of their family and friends. They will be missed.

At Tŷ Hafan, the diagnosis of a life-shortening illness turns everyday life upside down for families, leaving them facing a future that is so different to the one they imagined. Your generosity means they can receive the care and support they need. Thanks to you, they can create a lifetime of memories in the time they have together, just like your memories of Chris. I hope that gives you some comfort during this sad time.

This is one of the saddest things I have ever done, Chris you were my best friend, the brother I never had and I will miss you every day.
My heart is breaking for Gill at this time you really were one of the greatest gifts in our lives, and we will cherish every memory of you
Today, tomorrow and forever, We have so many memories of joy and happiness with you holidays meals out and of course the famous jolly boy outings to name a few, you were always the life and soul of the party.
A more kind generous, honest and loyal man I have never met you really were one of a kind, They really did break the mould the day you were born, You loved Gill so much it showed in everything you did together, such love real soulmates this type of love love is truly everlasting❤️
I know the last few years were tough for both of you, but you had such inner strength that most people were unaware of the pain you were going through, that is the measure of you still thinking of others right to the end.
Chris we will miss your smile your laughter your sense of humour but most of all we will miss you.
So it is with a heavy heart we say rest in peace Brother 🙏
