I have very fond memories of our dear sister Pat May, one who served Jehovah faithfully right up to the end. She had even commented in the midweek meeting on Zoom from her hospital bed just 3 days earlier (2nd Jan), and it was a joy to hear her voice, and her faithful expressions even while she was very poorly, and this showed that her faith, unfailing love and zeal for Jehovah and his promises for the future had not diminished. She will be young and vigorous soon in the new world to come, once this wicked system is gone. Rev 21 v 3, 4, John 5 v 28, 29.
One humorous memory I have of Pat, is when several of us went to Pat and Dave's for a small congregation gathering, and she ended up falling in to her own laundry basket and got stuck, and every one was laughing (we do have the video of it), and rather than help her out, I think from memory, her bro in law, Steve, just pushed her further in, and when she did finally get out of the basket, it was completely flattened, she even told my dad off for videoing, but we were all in bits laughing, hehe :)
Pat also loved history, and Bible prophecy, particularly prophecies in the book of Daniel about Nebuchadnezzar, and her comments were always well thought out.
She also knew I had a fascination of Egyptian things as a child, and I do still have some of the things she gave me as a present, such as a model of the Rosetta Stone, a model of an Egyptian cat, some papyrus and a few books, and she even helped me prepare a talk that I gave when I attended Middle School which I did for some of the children while I was a pupil there (it was nice to get out of some of the boring lessons to do this), and I took some of the things she had given me to be able to do a speech or 2, as she also used to go in to Picknalls school to talk to the kids about Egypt.
We will all miss her at the meetings & also on the ministry & she was one of the 20 or so regular pioneers in our congregation. See you soon Pat in the new world xxxx <3<3
