I have just heard the sad news about Richard, and my heart is heavy. He was such an inspiration to me—someone who helped shape and deepen my faith as a Christian. I will always look back on his words and conversations with great fondness and gratitude.

It was Richard who appointed me as a teacher at Bishop Cornish School, during a time when the focus was always where it should be—on the children. He loved them deeply and wholeheartedly, and everything he did was rooted in that love.

Richard supported and upheld us all through the years with quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and a deep sense of purpose. His wisdom, creativity, compassion, and faith left a lasting mark on the community, and on me personally.

He will be so greatly missed, but his legacy of love and faith will live on in the lives he touched.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Thank you Richard for all your friendship and for the generous, creative and imaginative support that you shared with tthe staff and governors at Bishop Cornish School over the years. You helped so many families in their time of need and the children in your care were always so important. You are remembered with great affection and with heartfelt thanks from the staff and governors that you worked with.
May you rest in peace and rise in glory
