JohnMCFARLANEIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John, who died peacefully on 14th February 2025 at the age of 74 at his home in Beer, Devon. John was a consultant building engineer who was born, lived and worked in the Woking/Godalming area before retiring and moving to Devon.

We loved him dearly. He is forever in our hearts.

John was the very best structural engineer I ever had the good fortune to be working with on my projects. Meticulous and with such a remarkable eye for detail. Totally reliable. Sadly missed when he retired, but he remained such a good pal all the years after. A truly genuine decent soul with such great enjoyment of natural things and the pleasure given by them. His allotment, all the walks in that great location in Beer, music, and his car!

Rest peacefully my dear.
