It is with great sadness that I have heard of the passing of a truly valued colleague and friend.
We had the privilege of working side by side for well over a decade, across both Royal Infirmary and City General Hospital. During those 10–15 years, I came to know not just a dedicated professional, but someone whose kindness, humour, and unwavering support left a lasting impression on everyone around them.
They brought so much more than skill and experience to the workplace — they brought warmth, compassion, and a sense of unity that made even the toughest days easier to face. Their presence will be deeply missed by all who had the honour of working alongside them.
My thoughts are with their family, friends, and all who knew them. Thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the legacy you leave behind.
