Bishop DavidMCGOUGHOf your charity please pray for the repose of the soul of Rt. Rev. David Christopher who died whilst at home in Tean on the 25th March 2023, aged 78 years. Treasured son of the late Clement and Ethel. Dearest brother to Joan, Paul, Veronica and the late Margaret and Lawrence. A dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend who will be truly missed and was fortified with the rites of the Holy Catholic Church R.I.P on whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Reception into Church and Mass to be held at Sacred Heart RC Church, Tunstall on Wednesday 19th April 2023 at 6.00pm. Requiem Mass at St Chad's Cathedral, Birmingham on Thursday 20th April 2023 at 12.00 noon, followed by interment at Stourbridge Catholic Cemetery North. Always enjoyed having a chat & cuppa with you when you visited our school, you always used to say " my favourite school as they wear my favourite colours blue & claret"

Sorry for the loss of the beloved Bishop David, as a family we have know him for many years! I was confirmed by him and so was my brother. I thank god for such an amazing man. RIP Bishop David you gave your life to God you are now in his hands!
