IreneMCGOVERNIrene Agnes McGovern (née Holmes), aged 77, passed away peacefully on 30th May 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born on 24th May 1948 in Silverdale, Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Beloved wife of Terence John McGovern, devoted mother of Paula, Andrew, Steven and Sharon, cherished grandmother of Evie-Leigh and Lucy, and sister of Ronnie and Harold. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Church, Silverdale, Newcastle, Staffs, on Friday, July 11th, 2025, at 1:30pm. Feel free to wear a dash of pink (Irene's favourite colour).

Irene, or ‘Paula’s mum’ as I knew her, was always so welcoming and warm to me. I will always remember her kindness, sense of humour and refreshing take on life. Thank you for the memories x
