Alexander MichaelMCGOWAN B.E.M('Alec' ) Alec peacefully passed away at home on 4th March 2022, aged 80 years. Dearly loved Husband of Evelyn. Much loved Dad to Alec, Carl and Sharon. Cherished Grandad to Natalie, Hayley, Hollie and Bethany and Great Grandad to Harris, Hugo and Amelia-Rose. Brother to Teddy, Frank and the late John and Mary. Much loved Uncle, Brother-in-law, Father-in-law and Friend. Alec will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Alec was awarded a British Empire Medal for his services to the Youth and his 50 years with the amateur boxing. He was well known and loved in both Ellesmere Port and Liverpool. Owning Nightclubs such as the Norseman and The Other Place in Liverpool and McGowan's Wine Bar and the Viscount in Ellesmere Port. Funeral Requiem Mass to be held on Thursday 31st March 2022 12noon at Our Lady's Star of the Sea, R.C Church, Ellesmere Port followed by Committal at Chester Crematorium. Family flowers only please, however a donation in aid of The British Heart Foundation would be gratefully received. The Anderson Family have been entrusted with the arrangements.
