Martin AnthonyMCKERNONPassed away unexpectedly at his home in Coed Mawr, Bangor on Tuesday, 15th September 2026, aged 59 years.

Loving dad to Connor, Joel and his wife Clare and his daughter Anya. Proud and fun Taidy to Tommy-Joe, Elsie, Alys, Nico and Indi. Beloved son of Joe and the late Maureen. Dear brother to Joseph and his wife Sharon and Joanne and husband Gareth. Fond uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Martin will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

A celebration of Martin's life will take place at Bangor Crematorium on Friday, 9th October 2026 at 12 noon, followed by refreshments in the Crossvile club and then a party at the Nelson.

The family will be wearing traditional funeral attire, with a touch of red in Martin's memory, as red was always his colour. Anyone who would like to wear something red is very welcome to join us, as we celebrate Martin in a way that reflects the colourful character he was.

You took me in like a second father that bond never left even years after. The memories & tears in chats we had us in the Nelson led to tears of joy. You were a great man a great father. You will be sadly missed. And just want to say thank you for being there for me as a young boy. You took me in when I needed it most the guidance the love and the support. Forever be in my heart Martin love ya mate xxx
