There are times in people’s lives when they are destined to bump into someone who will become a friend for life. Little did I know that that was to be the case with me and Dave who I first met in the summer of 1972 in Osnabruck. There was a space in time where we lost contact, but that didn’t matter, because in 2009 a reunion was held in the Lake District and Dave was there. It was like we hadn’t seen one another for a week rather than 30 years, older but still the same. It was a time for laughter, jokes, memories and partying like we were young again. Friends like Dave Middleton remain in your mind for life. He may be gone but he is still here. I miss you my old and trusted friend. Until we meet again R.I.P. Ian MacDonald

In loving memory of a dear friend. You were such a good friend to me when our family were going through dark times, and I shall always remember the weekends we spent with you in Stafford. Rest in peace with your heavenly family now Dave. You will never be forgotten. xxxx
