A truly sad loss of a very special person who touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. So many special memories of times spent together on holidays and nights out. We will hold on to them always. A special mention for his wonderful wife Sarah who nursed and cared for him during his illness and all his lovely family who have supported them both. Rest in peace. Linda Ray and family xx

What a lovely caring man; made their home so lovely and beautiful with Sarah’s artistry and filled it with warmth and joy. We’ll miss his sense of humour and great friendship. Bob and Angie Laking

We were pals in the 60s, always good company and we never fell out. God bless Pete.

I didn't serve on the same watch as Pete but he was always a nice guy at the changeover of watch.

Our sincere condolences to Sarah and family. We have several memories of Pete from the Fire Brigade to him teaching our sons to drive to his wedding day and beyond. Sad there are to be no more and sorry we can’t be there to say goodbye. With love Elaine and Harry.
