William AlbertMITCHELLBill passed away peacefully at his home under the loving care of his family, aged 88 years (2 days short of his 89th). Reunited with his late wife Ann Rita, he will be sorely missed by his children Sue and David, his five grandchildren and all those who knew him to be a kind and generous man, president of Hartley Wintney football club and local farmer. A funeral service will be held at St John's Church in Hartley Wintney at 1:30pm on 16th June 2021. Restrictions still apply with the size of the congregation being limited to 70. Friends and acquaintances are invited but may also pay their respects at the roadside as the cortège passes along Green lane via Mitchell Avenue to the church. I remember as a young lad of about 12,i went down to Hunts common,( Of which was one of Bill’s field’s) with Vincent Morgan,in the hopes of being able to get some work potato picking and sacking. After a little haranging,Bill relented. I think we made Half a crown each. Thanks Bill, RIP Bill Mitchell xx
