15 years ago today, 7th October 2011, you spent your last day in earth. It's like it was yesterday and those memories are etched forever on our minds. Bartie came into see you and he knew what was happening and he was besides himself.. we and all the medical staff were in tears. Snuggling Bartie was the last time we saw your eyes open and you smiling. 8 hours later we lost you forever. We will always miss you, my cantankerous old dad. Hope you're looking after Bartie now.

Can't believe it's been 14 years 💔 since your last day on earth in Good Hope Hospital.. the last time you opened your eyes is when your now late granddog, Bartie, was allowed in to see you..he was frantic as he knew what was happening. 5 hours later you were gone. A day that remains so vivid. We all miss you but your memory will always be with us.

13 years today since we lost you to that vile disease. You're always in our memories and you're missed forever.

Love your wife, Dorothy now 85, your daughter Alison and her wife Micaela and their two pups, Theo and Laurie whom you'd have adored like all our Cavs.

My dear daddy - cant believe 3 years have passed since that awful day on October 7 2011 but at least it brought you peace out of the grip of that terrible disease. I miss you very much and think of you every day. Rest peacefully, my wonderful Sampy Daddy - love always your daughter Alison xxxx
