MarionMURPHYIt is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Marion, who left us peacefully on Wednesday 5th of March 2025 at the age of 74. Marion was born on 29.6.1950 to Agustus and Gladys Rebecca John, she was a much cherished wife of John, loving mother of Ceri and Rhiain, beloved sister of David, a much loved grandmother, mother-in-Law, auntie, sister in Law and a loyal friend to many.

Throughout her life, Marion was known for her kindness, generosity, love of family, creativity and dedication to her teaching job in Afryn School and later as a Welsh Advisory Teacher, based at St Helen's Centre. She brought light to the lives of all who knew her and will be dearly missed. We take comfort knowing that Marion will live in our hearts and memories forever. The family would like to thank family and friends for the overwhelming support during this sad time. They would also like to thank Father Rod for his spiritual guidance and compassion shown towards Marion and her family. Thank you to the Palliative care team, particularly the district nurses and health care assistants who cared for and supported Marion. A special thank you to Paul Greenow and his building team as well as D.G Attwell Funeral Directors.

A celebration of Marion's life will be held at the Sacred Heart Church Morriston on Friday 11th April 2025 at 11am, followed by committal at Swansea Crematorium at 12.30pm. You were the best Nain in the world no one could have replaced you. You were too young to die but you never told a lie. Obviously you were amazing because I feel like the world has ended and the ocean of tears has taken over. I can't express how much you ment to me. Over 100 people you touched with kindest even if you only saw them once. You're the best grandmother/ Nain to have ever landed on this earth. I will miss you forever and ever. So now you can travel where you like, don't ever leave me alone.
I will miss you forever.
I love you❤️❤️❤️

Love ❤
Your best grandchild,

Our sincere condolences to John, Ceri, Rhian and family.

Marion was a beautiful person, kind and intelligent. John remembers the night Marion and John first met - they’d gone dancing at Bentleys Night Club in Mumbles.

Many fond memories will live on. From John, Susan and Holly xxx
