StephenMYCIO14.09.1953 - 10.12.2016. Steve's wife Mary and daughter Chris would like to extend grateful thanks to Dr Bentley and the Ventilation Team at Wythenshawe Hospital for their unfailing care. Also Dr Ealing and his team at the Neurology Department Salford Royal, the Macmillan Nurse Liz Smith, Dr PaImer, Community Physiotherapy, the Social Services Department and all who assisted Steve during his illness. They also wish to thank those who attended Steve's funeral on 28th December 2016, those who sent kind expressions of sympathy in letters, cards and flowers and thanks also to Arthur Worsley Funeral Services. They also feel much gratitude to those clergy, civic officials and dignitaries, friends and colleagues who created and contributed to the service at Manchester Cathedral 7th February 2017 which celebrated Steve's work for the city and beyond. They were touched by the numbers who attended the services and found consolation in the generosity of so many who donated to the MNDA and the RMCH charities. Mary and Chris are appreciative of ongoing plans during 2017 for tributes to Steve, who was a runner. These will fundraise further for the charities above, in the London Marathon 23rd April, the Great Manchester runs 28th May, the Cotswold 113 half ironman 4th June and the Tour of Tameside 15th-18th June.
