The obituary notice of David Russell (Dave) NORMANTON

I've known Dave many years. Last time i saw him
we were comparing notes on pacemakers !
We were both guitar mad in the early days

So sorry to hear of the loss of Dave. I have known him for most of my life from Scartho youth club, to British Telecom to the King's Head and Tilted Barrel. Sincere condolences to Brenda, Chris Crew

I met Dave when we were guitar crazy teenagers at Scartho Road youth club and later when he was a technical officer with British Telecom. Always spoke with him in the King's Head when it was a real pub on a Sunday lunch and later in the Tilted Barrel. So sorry to hear of David's passing and sincere condolences to Brenda. Chris Crew.

Although I’d not seen Dave for many years, I’d hoped we might meet up again some time. Sadly, its not to be. We spent many happy hours in our teens annoying the neighbours with our racket at a couple of church halls …and maybe entertaining a few of our peers on occasion. RIP.

We both worked for the PO and BT and played together in a couple of bands back in the 70s, Highway 51 was the last one. Not seen much of Dave since but he was a great guitarist and vocalist and an all round funny guy. Rest easy mate.
