I am devastated to read this. Rhian and I became close friends in 1977 when we did PGCE at Cardiff. We really were kindred spirits and I spent many happy times in Cilfynydd. We always kept in touch over the years. I have many special memories of Rhian and am so very sad that she has gone. She will live on in our hearts. My condolences to you all x

Rhian was one of my best teachers at school. She taught me GCSE French and gave me a place at Sixth Form. She was kind, clever and funny. I am grateful that she had such a positive impact on my life. Thank you, Rhian, from the bottom of my heart.

Many happy memories of good times watching rugby (albeit supporting different teams) and enjoying the hospitality and vibes in some epic pubs. RIP Rhian. xx
