Even though our paths led us in different directions in recent years, we have been shocked to hear about the loss of Barbara.
In Barbara’s early adult life, the Evans and Agar families were inseparable, and we had such wonderful times, full of humour, life and great memories (not to mention the singing!). Barbara was so loved by everybody – she was vivacious, fun-loving, popular and caring. After we went our separate ways, Anne and I met up with Nick and Barbara in London – they were the perfect hosts, and Nick was just a great partner for Barbara, such brilliant company!
It is so shocking that Barbara has been taken so early. Sending much love to all.

I was very proud to have Barbara as a sister in law ( I am married to Nicks brother Neil). She was funny, welcoming, creative and absolutely brilliant with small children. A big personality and a big heart. I will miss our regular chats enormously and when we did meet in person, our putting the world to right with a glass of wine or 3.

Remembering Barbara with love. One of a kind. Truly beautiful and kind and creative and funny. A wonderful human being and friend and so so loved by so many.

She gave me and all us girls a place to grow up in. One of those houses you can walk into and stick the kettle on. Or drink very cheap rose out of mugs with Georgia, as it began. She was so generous with her time and with her home. We all loved her to bits.

She’s been there for me from being a little lost teenager, to my wedding day to playing games with and singing silly songs to my children. A cup of tea and a natter. A completely warm and magnetic personality and a world class story teller. She welcomed us all with open arms.

And the parties, my word, the parties. Cuddling in the kitchen screeching to Halo by Beyoncé at 5 in the morning. Those summer nights in the garden. Our ridiculous fancy dress themes she completely embraced. A total joy to have known her.

So much more than our ‘mate’s mum’.

Thank you for everything.

Love always, Brogan
