My Father, My Friend
For my father, my friend,
My hero until the very end.
Through every joy and every tear,
You were the one who stayed so near.
A gentle soul, so kind and true,
There will never be another you.
Your love was steady, strong, and deep,
A precious gift I'll always keep.
The laughter that we shared together
Lives in my heart and lasts forever.
And when life brought me pain or fear,
You always knew just what to hear.
With every smile, each warm embrace,
You filled my world with love and grace.
When I was lost, when hope was dim,
You gave me strength to carry on again.
The lessons that you taught with care,
The love you showed, the time you shared,
Have shaped the person I am today
And guide me still along my way.
It's been three years since you left us, Dad,
Three years of missing you every day.
Not a moment passes that I don't wish
I could hear your voice or see your face or your warm embrace.
Though you're no longer by my side,
You live forever in my heart.
I carry your love with me wherever I go,
And not even death can keep us apart.
With endless love, gratitude, and longing,
I thank you for all you have done.
You will always be my father, my friend,
And forever, Dad, you'll be my number one.
