David BarryPILKINGTONpassed away on October 19, aged 79 years.
David was a well known referee around the area. He was a wages clerk at Blackburn with Darwen Council. His hobbies included football, cricket and walking. He was the fixtures secretary for ELFA and Hyndburn Boys League, umpire for Ribblesdale Cricket League, referee and linesman for multiple leagues and a big supporter of grassroots football.
Husband to the late Sylvia Pilkington, David leaves his children Joanne Pilkington, Karen Lyth and Steven Pilkington (step-son), grandchildren Karina, Talia, Kelsie and Erin.
His funeral will be held on Friday, November 3 at Accrington Crematorium at 3pm, conducted by Kathy Unsworth. This will be followed by a cremation at Accrington Crematorium. Donations to East Lancashire Hospice.
