PhilipPLAYFORDPeacefully, on Tuesday 18th February, while in the care of The Diana Princess Of Wales Hospital Grimsby, surrounded by his loving family, Phil, aged 80 years, sadly passed away. Devoted Husband of Tulla. Much-loved Dad of Mel, Philip, and Poul. Phil was an adored Grandad to seven wonderful Grandchildren, and five Great Grandchildren. Phil was a well-known driving instructor for many years with his own driving school, Columbia school of driving. Phil was a good friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A service to celebrate Phil's life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium, Weelsby Avenue Grimsby, DN32 OBA, on Thursday 6th March at 15:00. Family flowers only please. Donations may be made in Phil's memory to Cleethorpes RNLI, a donations box for this chosen service will be available at the service, the option to donate online is also available via funeralnotices.com.

Phil was a lovely man and will be missed ,thoughts with all the family at this time.
He tought Sam to drive and if you didnt like a particular place or manoeuvre he would make you do it more,
Every time I go to Hewitts Circus it always reminds me of Phil and always will.

Phil was a trainee with my dad Colin at Mothers Pride I Think Phil was 17 and my dad used to let him drive the van sometimes. Phil Taught me Angie Gray My two Boys David & Gary My Sister Debbie Dent & her children Tom Matt & Emily
