MariePOLLARDOn 2nd September 2018, peacefully in hospital following a short illness, Marie aged 81 years of Accrington. The dearly beloved Wife of the late Brian, devoted and cherished Mum of Victoria and Son in law David and much loved and loving Little Grandma of Charlotte and Liam. Sadly missed by her loving family and friends. Marie was well known in Accrington from her barmaid days at The Peel Park, Sydney Street and Burnley Road Bowling Club. She loved people and being in company. She also worked as a dinner lady at St. John's School and also worked at Hilden's too, taking early retirement due to her health. Marie was a wonderful character with a warm heart and a smile that lit up her whole face. She had a super sense of humour and spoke exactly as she thought. She loved her cigarette and enjoyed reading romance novels. Marie would shout along to her favourite Rocky films, which she loved to watch. She liked Michael Jackson and had been a most avid Blackburn Rovers fan. Her routine was set firmly in stone and each Sunday without fail she tuned in to Unforgettable on Radio Lancashire. Marie will be remembered as a devoted, funny, loving, solid presence within the heart of her family. Marie's funeral service will be held on Friday 14th September 2018 at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington BB5 6HA at 11am with Civil Funeral Minister Lianna Champ officiating.
