Dr George TulloPOLLOCK MD FFPHM DPHPassed away Thursday 17th April 2025.
Originally born in Detroit, brought up and educated in Aberdeen, one of the first cohort of doctors trained by the NHS, George made his long-lasting family home in Coventry where he served the city well for many years including latterly as Director of Public Health for Coventry. After retirement, he continued his keen interest in public health, which remained right to the end, and undertook numerous consultancy positions related to communicable disease and running several training courses, thoroughly enjoying travelling round to various countries for this purpose, taking wife Moira with him. He was extremely generous and very funny, as well as very resilient and determined and had a great love of music, reading and languages as well as walking every day, extolling the benefits of this for health reasons. He lost Moira, his wife of 62 years, in 2019 but managed to retain a zest for life and he will be very much missed by son Alan, daughter Marion and all family and friends.
George's Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday 13th May 2025 at 14:15 in Cannon Hill Chapel, Canley Crematorium.
