Brian AllanPORTEOUSErica and family would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for all their support and the overwhelming expressions of sympathy, following the sad loss of Brian. Also, special thanks to Kimberley and all the staff at Bendalls for their help with the funeral arrangements. Finally, thanks to everyone who attended the service. A very generous amount of £1,385, was raised for the Castle Douglas Ambulance Service and the Galloway Mountain Rescue Team, in memory of Brian.

Broken Chain

We little knew the day that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And although we cannot see you
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.

Memories are the most loveliest things, they last from day to day, they can’t get lost, they don’t wear out and can’t be given away. Xx
