Walter (Dr.)RAND(Walbottle) At the Royal Hampton, Ponteland on 28th April 2023, aged 97 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Jean, much loved dad of Kathryn and Steven, beloved father in law of Kathryn and the late Bob and an adored grandy of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Would family and friends please meet for service at West Road Crematorium on Wednesday 24th May at 3pm. No flowers, a collection will be held in aid of Alzheimer's Research. RIP DR Rand memories of early 1970s when I came along in 1971 early recollections of Thorntree Drive possibly mother being the cleaner and before the surgery was named Holmeside both of Armstrong Road and Chapel House surgeries and Dr Dookun dental practice around the corner having a doctor present for anaesthetics I always thought that you were Dr Stephen Rand, does anyone know when he started the practice and when he retired and was Stephen one of our gps too

I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Dr Rand for many, many years, at Holmside Medical Group, Chapel House. He was a true gentleman. My sincerest condolences to all the family.

My thoughts are with you all. Dr Rand was my first employer in medical . I will always treasure the memories of Holmside Armstrong Road. A great surgery and great memories. We were always part of Walter and Jean in their home. RIP . Dr Rand. Gina Dunn
