Mrs MaryRATCLIFFEOf Pilling Street, Acre passed away peacefully surrounded by her family aged 68 years. Born in Bury, she grew up in Nelson and spent most of her married life in Haslingden and Helmshore. After leaving Grammar School she trained as a Nurse before starting a family. She had many jobs including J.H Birtwistles canteen, new houses sales negotiator and she retired from the job centre Accrington. She loved spending time with her family and adored her Grandchildren. She enjoyed holidays in North Wales. Her hobbies included gardening, baking, social media, and volunteering at Age UK in Haslingden. She leaves husband James, sons Craig, Phillip and Daniel, stepson Mark and family, daughters in law Amanda, Sarah and Nicola, grandchildren Alea, Charlie, Amber, Bailey, Archie, Daisy, Harry, great grandson Naythan. She also leaves brothers Alan and Geoff, sisters Dorothy and Margaret, brothers in law Barry and Ian, sister in law and best friend Sheila. Her family will miss her wit and conversation, the world is a duller place without her. Her Funeral Service will take place on 16th October at Burnley Crematorium 11.20am, followed by a reception at the Holden Arms, Haslingden.
