Frederick MunroRATTRAYFrederick Munro Rattray sadly passed away aged 92 at the Countess of Chester Hospital in the early hours of Saturday 12 April 2025 after a short illness.
Devoted husband of beloved wife Nora, who passed away in 2018, amazing and caring father to children Andrew and Sarah, and grandfather to Emma, Jamie, and Alex, he will be dearly missed.
A retired Police Chief Inspector who served for over 30 years at Cheshire HQ, and a period as Sergeant in Hyde, before serving at the Law Society in Chester until his full retirement.
The son of a market gardener from Inverness, until recent illness still lived independently at home in Handbridge where he loved gardening himself, reading his newspaper over breakfast, and watching sports. The family would like to extend warm thanks to the many friends and neighbours who have supported him there in recent years.
Private cremation with ashes to be scattered with his adored wife Nora's according to his expressed wishes.
Donations to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd gratefully received.
