Uncle Mervyn will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Although time and family dynamics meant our families grew apart over the last 20 years, the memories we have from earlier years remain meaningful and important to us.
It’s those moments—when our lives were more closely connected—that we choose to hold onto now.
We remember him as part of our family story, someone who shared in those earlier chapters of our lives. Even though we weren’t able to stay in touch, it doesn’t take away from the connection that once was, or the place he holds within our family.
We were saddened to learn of his passing this week via social media, and sorry not to have had the opportunity to say goodbye—especially for my mother, Beryl, Mervyn’s sister.
Our thoughts are with him always. Rest in peace, Uncle Mervyn. You are remembered by the Davis family – Beryl (sister), Colin (brother-in-law), Chris and Kevin (nephews).
