LaviniaRIDINGOf Pembroke Street, Bacup, died in The Laurels Care Home, Bacup, on Thursday, February 6, aged 80 years. A service will be held at Chapel of Rest on Thursday, February 20, at 1.40pm, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 2.20pm, conducted by Andrea Robinson. Born in South Wales, she moved to Bacup as a young girl, where she lived the rest of her life. She worked in various cotton mills in the area, and her final job was as a petrol attendant at Allens Motors in Bacup. She enjoyed socialising, playing darts and dominoes, and, in her younger days, holidays in Blackpool. Wife of the late Jack, who died 30 years ago, and partner of the late Cyril Wilkinson. She leaves her son, Maldwyn; daughter-in-law, Louise; granddaughter, Dionne; grandson, Benjamin, and his partner, Hannah; great-granddaughter, Imogen; sisters, Corena and Susan; nephews, nieces, and many friends.
