Carole ‘Captain’ Roberts, as I first knew her, was a wonderful and inspiring woman.

A dear and close friend to my mother, Carole was inspirational to my brother and I, in fostering and nurturing enthusiasm and motivation for a career in the British Army. Both now with a combined service of 36 years, Carole was the warmest and compassionate champion in our journeys to Sandhurst.

Her friendly and open soul, was endeared by so many and she had a natural gift of welcoming and reacquainting with people.

I would love to hear more of her life and experiences, as she was clearly a remarkable and inspiring woman.

Rest peacefully, reunited with your dear husband.

My condolences to family and friends, but my heartfelt gratitude to have known your Carole.

Yours,

Tom Brown
