Alastair will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was always very friendly and sociable and possessed great computer knowledge from his days at ICL. He was a big SAAB enthusiast. His passing is the end of an era, rest well my friend.

As a small boy in the late 1940s, Alistair and Tom Roden were my first remembered playmates when we were living in Stanley Street, Tunstall. I also remember Alistair at Forster Street Primary School after we moved home in the early 1950s. I have often wondered what life dealt them.
R.I.P chaps.
