To dear Jay,

My great cricketing mate. I loved all our times together on and off the field. You taught me when I was a kid to love the game and how to serve it responsibly. Thank you for being part of my life's journey - I will hugely miss our cricket banter and your loyal friendship. Rest in peace mate. x

Jay was such a lovely bloke, the sort that restores your faith in humanity. I can’t believe I’m writing this in the past tense.

He has been part of our family life for something like 35 years, as a good friend of my brother, Nick.

They played cricket and were great mates.

I remember he came to my 21st in 1999, and other crazy nights out we had as teenagers and in our early 20s.

We had a lot of good times!

More recently I spent a bit of time with him when he asked me for some advice. We walked on the beach and talked about life.

He was always sincere, kind, and keen to do his best in life.

He had the kindest eyes.

I’m so sorry for everyone he leaves behind.

I’m sending my best wishes and love to all his family and friends and I’m grateful to have known such a special soul.

Love Fi.
X

Professionalism personified. Known Jason a good few years, could never really tell you if he had an bad day or felt a bit off because he always welcomed you with a smile. Was always glad to see you and couldn't go further out of his way to help you fit in or make you feel comfortable in the work environment. A complete gent, a good guy; and as always these guys always seem to go first; a great lad and he'll be greatly missed. See you on the other side my friend.
